​Fifty-three years ago, with a love of video and audio, Frank A. Culotta had a dream — to connect audiovisual professionals with the best brands to fit their needs….and to provide “Golden Rule” service, treating his customers as he would like to be treated and cared about. Frank knew that the right partnerships – both with brands …and with his customers – would be a strong foundation to build his business and his future from.

For the most of the first 30 years, SYMCO (as a Rep Firm) handled this function for our brands and dealers, by often utilizing what we called “accommodation sales”, buying and reselling our brands to dealers who were not direct with certain brands. But around the turn of the century, Frank realized that the channel and brands’ needs – as well as the fulfillment models in our Industry – were changing.

That’s when Stirling Communications was born. Fueled by our passion to help our partners grow their business and our deep commitment to service, Frank brought together a hand-selected lineup of best-in-class brands and launched Stirling Communication, a specialized and truly Value Add Distributor. This pivotal transformation allowed us to go beyond introductions, stepping into the role of a trusted partner who could launch/introduce, promote and now “deliver” technology products and solutions …..right from our Headquarters in New Jersey.

For the past 25 years, this goal of being a specialized, “high touch” Distributor has defined us. Stirling Communications has grown from a simple offshoot operation of SYMCO, into a fully equipped distribution organization with two warehouses, millions of dollars of stock, and team of dedicated experts committed to helping our customers every day. Whether it’s finding the right technology, finding hard to get SKUs or accommodating special needs, we’ve always had one goal: To be the best partner to our AV dealers and brands by providing the best distribution experience possible.

Our vision is that our dealers come to us for the best brands, and service, in the Industry.
As we look to the future, we plan to continue to find and offer best-in-category, high value brands from around the world. We also plan to never stop focusing on and accommodating the changing needs of our customer, the dealers designing and integrating today’s best technology solutions.
